Propaganda to take majority stake in ‘Content Makers’
Propaganda nv, the largest independent content marketing agency in Belgium, is taking an active majority stake in ‘Content Makers’, a content marketing and social media specialist for SMEs. Their ambition is to jointly make the Belgian SME market become well-acquainted in the coming years with the power of strong digital content.
Michel Libens, CEO and managing partner (together with Gerrit Tulkens) from Propaganda nv, explains: “This partnership will strengthen and accelerate the growth of Content Makers. Our ambition is to grow Content Makers into the strongest and largest content marketing agency for SMEs. Our 25-year experience as content marketing strategy pioneers for large and international corporations and advertisers will stand in good stead here. Furthermore, we will also assist management in running this fantastic growth company. We believe that we could be the most successful business on the Belgian SME market, with a unique brand and specialised team. The typical dynamic of a dedicated versatile lean team will be played out in full here.”
The company manager of Content Makers, Maarten Rottiers: “In recent years we have done pioneering work with Content Makers. The typical pushy advertising is still popular with SMEs, but this is counterproductive online and especially on social media. Due to the success of social media and video content and the model function of major brands, the SME market is increasingly ready for a specific content marketing approach, a sophisticated pull-strategy with strong and convincing content. With Propaganda’s support, we can now shift Content Makers into a higher gear. I am overjoyed with the faith Michel and Gerrit have put in Content Makers. In recent months, we have been working hard together behind the scenes on an ambitious multi-year plan.”
The company manager of Content Makers, Maarten Rottiers has been supporting SMEs for a decade and established Content Makers in 2017. As the manager he will continue to be in charge of day-to-day management. He will determine the strategic lines of Content Makers together with Michel Libens and Gerrit Tulkens, the shareholders of Propaganda. Michel Libens, CEO of Propaganda, will become chairman of the Board of Directors.
Content Makers provides content marketing tailored to SMEs. “We have strong creative and content-based online storytelling with a strategic foundation, that allows us to realise the commercial and communicative aims of our customers,” continues the company manager, Maarten Rottiers. “Due to my previous experience as a TV producer at VRT our strengths also include making social media videos, which are absolutely on trend. All tailored to an SME marketing budget.”
