Propaganda and Tele’Train: from big data to smart data
Propaganda has joined forces with Tele’Train to develop a white paper on Voice of the Customer analytics (VoCa).
VoCa is a new tool which, as of 2014, can be used by Belgian marketing professionals to quickly obtain a structured insight into current and future ‘trending topics’ based on the in-depth analysis of telephone conversations and/or mail and social media conversations.
Consciously incompetent: this is what the well-known psychologist Abraham Maslow called the phase in which most marketing professionals now find themselves. Swamped with a mass of information – on blogs, Facebook, Twitter and other media – about their (possible) customers, firm and brand. Vaguely familiar with the phenomenon of big data but very unsure about the possibilities. They want to finally to understand again what the consumer wants, preferably in real-time.
The challenge: from Big Data to Smart Data
The potential of big data is clear. The challenge, however, is to convert Big Data into Smart Data, in other words, into data of a predictive nature. What insights can be extracted from this enormous pool of data and how can we use this in marketing and communication (that is based on relevant content)?
